We are happy to announce that we are almost done with the “multiple starts” feature.
Multiple starts will allow you to run the same program multiple times during the day. We will have a total of 5 start times. The first one will be mandatory, but the other four can be turned on or off with a checkbox next to the start time.
The calendar also does a good job of representing the multiple start times for a program. I ve set overlapping start times so that you can see what it looks like in the calendar when that is the case. This next view is the “Week” view, and the next one is the “Day” view.
This next shot is for the Day view
We will release a Beta version of the firmware first; we will allow some time to get it stable then we will make it an official release. We are expecting to be able to release the Beta version by the middle of July.
I purchased an Irrigationcaddy about a year ago. Just want you to know I like it very much and I’m looking forward to your firmware updates. Your device is easy to setup, does everything right and is much easier to program than a conventional irrigation controller. I’m sure it will get more and more popular as people get used to home networks.
I just installed the Irrigation Caddy last night, and it works awesomely great. I’m looking forward to updates for the software. And, if I may, ask for a couple of requests. Here in Austin, we have water restrictions depending on the annual rainfall. I sure would love to rename the programs from “Program 1″ to “Stage 1 Water Restrictions” or to “Spring” and “Summer”. A smart phone app for “Run Now” would be great too. It would help with testing and adjusting the heads.
Thanks!
Ditto on the android app request. Might help this product really gain traction with the techie groups…
I’d also suggest a ‘temporary off’, where by the normal program routine is interrupted for xx hours or days. For example, when we get deluged with two weeks of rain, I often hit the ‘rain delay’ button which suspends the routine for 24 hours with each button push. That way I don’t forget to turn it back on. Rain sensors are a good idea in theory but in practice, I’ve had very inconsistent results.
Love this product!!
Actually the guys at http://www.virtualremotecontrols.com have developed an app, I think for Android and iPhone that controls the caddy.
We will come up with one as well eventually, hopefully sooner rather than later, so it is in the plans, but we don’t have a solid date yet.
Great software. I can’t wait until the release date of the iPhone app. Never as convenient as now.
I am considering buying the S1. However I really need 4 independent programs. I notice the current version supports 3 programs + 1 Run Now program. Any likelihood for a firmware revision to increase the number of programs? I assume a work-around would be to control the device from an external program running on a PC?
